Media Watch

The Media Watch room exists to promote media literacy, provide multiple perspectives on news, and encourage students to become better US and global citizens.
It serves as the 'Global Reference Room' or the 'Situation Room'. The purpose of this space is to provide an up-to-the-minute window on the world, and multiple perspectives on the media. Leading ethical questions are posted on current issues and the media.· The room serves as a point of access for current events, politics, global studies, and marketing studies.
In thinking about what's most important about the role of libraries in our fast-changing society, we realized that being politically aware and media-savvy is not only important to learning effective research, but also essential to being an intelligent and ethical member of society. Inherent in our school's mission to grow as lifelong learners is an emphasis on the importance of government and the media to our daily lives.
