jstor JStor Journal Storage, described as "the scholarly journal archive", contains hundreds of publications with articles available in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format, some dating back hundreds of years. A reliable and comprehensive archive of important scholarly journal literature on the college level. Appropriate for strong students and for teacher research. Great bridge for college bound seniors, who will use this in universities. Funding for JStor is provided by Newton Public Schools.

Library of Congress Country Studies - Prepared by the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress under the Country Studies/Area Handbook Program sponsored by the Department of the Army between 1986 and 1998.

BBC News Country Profiles - Country overviews, basic facts, Web links, and details on leaders and media. Includes news stories and audio and video clips from the BBC archives.

Freedom House Country reports detail the state of freedom around the world.

U. S. State Department Background Notes - Publications that include facts about the land, people, history, government, political conditions, economy, and foreign relations of independent states, some dependencies, and areas of special sovereignty.
